Privacy Policy for the information you share
Vac Shack also publishes an accessibility statement covering how to reach the business if a page gets in the way. This Privacy Policy explains how Vac Shack collects, uses, and protects information when you visit https://vacuflostl.com, send the contact form, or reach the business by phone or mail. The site does not take payment or offer online checkout.
Who runs this website
This website is maintained for Vac Shack by LocalCraft Digital, which provides site hosting support and first-party visitor analytics. LocalCraft Digital processes analytics information on Vac Shack’s behalf as a service provider and does not sell it or use it for third-party advertising.
Information collected automatically
The site uses a first-party analytics pixel served from localcraftdigital.com to understand page views and which links, buttons, and phone actions visitors use. It may record pages viewed, interaction events, referrer, browser and device information from the user agent, approximate country or city derived from an IP address, and a randomly generated session identifier.
The analytics pixel does not follow visitors across unrelated websites, build an advertising profile, or support third-party ad targeting. That statement covers the analytics pixel only. The chat widget described next is a separate third-party service and does collect advertising and campaign data.
The site also loads a chat widget supplied by LeadConnector, the customer messaging platform Vac Shack uses. It is provided by a third party and does more than wait to be clicked. On every page load, before anyone opens it, it sends the page address and title, the referring site, any campaign or ad-click parameters in the web address (such as utm_campaign or a Google click identifier), the values of the _fbp and _fbc Meta advertising cookies if your browser has them, and a country derived from your IP address to the messaging platform, together with identifiers that persist across visits. This is marketing attribution: it is how the platform works out which advert or search brought a visitor to the site, and it happens whether or not you ever use the chat. Opening the chat also loads Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot-detection service that checks whether a visitor is a person before a message can be sent. That session is separate from the analytics pixel described above and is governed by the platform’s own handling of the data. The chat form asks for a name, a phone number and a message, and all three are required. Anything typed into it is sent to that platform and stored in Vac Shack’s customer records there. The form also carries a consent line stating that by submitting it you agree to receive SMS or email about the inquiry, and message and data rates may apply. That box is ticked when the form opens, and agreeing is required: the chat will not send a message with it unticked. Anyone who does not want to be contacted by SMS or email should call or write instead of using the chat. Leaving the widget closed means nothing is sent about a conversation, but it does not prevent the session described above, which is created when the page loads. Calling or emailing instead avoids the widget entirely. Its files and that session come from leadconnectorhq.com, fonts.bunny.net, services.msgsndr.com and challenges.cloudflare.com.
Information you provide
If you call, write, or send the contact form, the business may receive the contact and service information you choose to provide. That information is used to answer the inquiry, discuss products or services, arrange work, and maintain ordinary business records.
The contact form asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number, and your message. It is submitted to LocalCraft Digital, which operates the site and its analytics for Vac Shack as a service provider, and the message is passed to Vac Shack. The form also records two hidden anti-spam fields and the time the page loaded, which are used only to tell a person apart from an automated submission.
Browser storage
The site may use a small amount of browser storage for the session identifier used in first-party analytics. The chat widget described above sets its own storage as soon as any page loads, before anyone types anything. It holds a session identifier and a device identifier used to recognise a returning visitor and to attribute them to a campaign, and it falls back to a cookie where browser storage is unavailable. Clearing it ends the conversation thread and resets that recognition. Most browsers allow you to block or clear this storage. The public site remains usable if you do.
How information is used
- to respond to phone, mail, or chat inquiries, including by SMS or email where the chat form’s consent line has been accepted;
- to discuss requested products, repair, service, or installation work;
- to understand site usage and improve the site; to work out which search, advert, or referring site brought a visitor here, which the chat widget's provider does on the site's behalf;
- to detect spam, abuse, or technical problems;
- to comply with legal obligations.
How information is shared
Vac Shack does not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers that support the website and analytics, including LocalCraft Digital, Vercel, E-Growth Services with the LeadConnector messaging platform, and Cloudflare for the chat widget’s bot check, or when required by law, needed to protect legal rights, or connected with a sale or transfer of the business.
Data retention and security
Business inquiry records are kept as long as needed for service, ordinary record-keeping, and legal obligations. Analytics data is kept for a limited period to measure site performance. The site uses encrypted HTTPS connections, but no transmission or storage method can guarantee absolute security.
Privacy choices and requests
You may ask Vac Shack to access, correct, or delete personal information connected with your inquiry, subject to records the business must keep. Call (636) 535-2359 or write to Vac Shack at 106 S 2nd St, Festus, MO 63028.
Children’s privacy
The site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Vac Shack does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the site.
